All our nets are available in three different mesh sizes:

"Classic", one compartment for hay and the same mesh size on both sides for flat nets and the same mesh size all over for large bale nets.

3cm = 1+3/16" for soft hay and longer extentions of the eating time.

3½cm = 1+3/8" is standard for all kinds of hay and all horses.

4cm = 1+5/8" for coarse hay and when reduced wast is more important than extended eating times.

All our sizes of flat nets are also produced i 7 different combinations of those mesh sizes:

The 2+series is becoming the new world standard.

One compartment for hay but different mesh sizes on both sides makes it possible for you to adopt the feeding to changing circumstances. Needs to be hung flat on a wall or the horse would only eat from the easy side.

2+, 3cm and 3½cm mesh. Most common. Works great for soft and regular hay.

2++, 3½cm and 4cm mesh. Recommended for coarse hay.

2+++, 3cm and 4cm mesh. Recommended when hay quality changes between shipments (the 3+ is however recommended).

3+. There is only one model (all six sizes though) of the 3+series but that one can, by turning it inside out, replace six different nets.

The mesh combinations are: 3-3½-4cm, 3-4-3½cm, 3½-3-4cm, 3½-4-3cm, 4-3-3½cm, 4-3½-3cm.

Since there are two compartments for hay you are free to decide how much, and of what kind, you put in each compartment. The front compartment will be eaten through one layer of net and the rear compartment will be eaten through two layers of netting (like main course and dessert). This makes it neccessary to hang these nets flat on the wall or the horse would eat the dessert before the main course.

The 4+series is designed to be accessible from both sides simultaneously (i.e. iether hanging between two sturdy pols or being closed with a "zipper string" and put in an open container. There are four layers of net creating three compartments for hay or one compartment for hay where everything is eaten through two layers of netting. If you fill all three compartments with hay what is in the outer two will be eaten through one lay of net and what is in the middle compartment will be eaten through two layers of net. The two middle layer of net are of a larger mesh size comapared to the outer layers but that can be changed by turning the net inside out.

The different 4+models have the mesh sizes in the following order:

4+, 3-3½-3½-3cm.

4++, 3½-4-4-3½cm.

4+++, 3-4-4-3cm.

All flat nets come with hanging ropes in the upper corners and closing strings to keep the opening shut. All flat nets can also be completed with optionl "zipper strings" that closes the opening completely in a very time efficient and easy way (right picture). Click on the picture for larger views.
